What an amazing cabin! This was my family's first cabin vacation, and with so many choices in the Blue Ridge area, this truly was the perfect choice. Walking in the door the first time and smelling the aromas of the wood interior really set the tone for "cabin."...
What an amazing cabin! This was my family's first cabin vacation, and with so many choices in the Blue Ridge area, this truly was the perfect choice. Walking in the door the first time and smelling the aromas of the wood interior really set the tone for "cabin." The decor is completely beautiful and fun. First vacation my husband and I have taken together (just us) in close to 13 years. Married and three children later we decided we deserved something. My husband found Cabin Rentals of Georgia and handed me the number. I felt like I was talking to a friend...
First vacation my husband and I have taken together (just us) in close to 13 years. Married and three children later we decided we deserved something. My husband found Cabin Rentals of Georgia and handed me the number. I felt like I was talking to a friend EVERYTIME I would call. I would talk to our favorite southern sweetheart, Cynthia. She was so helpful and they truly set us up with the best cabin with a great price. It was the perfect escape [Or as we call it now, "askacape"] for my husband and I. Time to press the pause button, breath and reset so we could really appreciate the time we had. We are forever grateful and will be back again...and again ....lol and maybe again! Hope you are lucky enough to enjoy this beauty and all the amenities. Must try the riverside restaurant BEST place there to eat!"
This weekend, my friends and I stayed at Riverview Lodge. This cabin is amazing! It offers 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. With a group of 10, we had plenty of room. The views of the river and the mountains from this cabin are spectacular. We took a hike on the trail and relaxed in...
This weekend, my friends and I stayed at Riverview Lodge. This cabin is amazing! It offers 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. With a group of 10, we had plenty of room. The views of the river and the mountains from this cabin are spectacular. We took a hike on the trail and relaxed in the gazebo next to the river. It snowed while we were visiting, which was an added bonus. We fired up the fire pit outside and laughed and talked for hours. This was a special trip for 5 couples. The rooms are very spacious and well furnished. All amenities are included with the cabin. I would recommend this place to couples, large families, or anyone who wants a little taste of country paradise. We will be returning very soon!!!
Too much haze and too many early morning clouds this week unfortunately for any colorful Cherokee Sunrises. Still, it has been a wonderful, restorative week of relaxing in this quiet, lovely spot, taking a few hikes and exploring the area. It has also been the perfect escape...
Too much haze and too many early morning clouds this week unfortunately for any colorful Cherokee Sunrises. Still, it has been a wonderful, restorative week of relaxing in this quiet, lovely spot, taking a few hikes and exploring the area. It has also been the perfect escape from the heat, humidity, traffic and crowds at home in Hilton Head, SC as well as all the covid craziness.
John Muir, the famed naturalist, always comes to mind when I’m walking through the woods or hiking a mountain trail. He wrote extensively about the importance of forests and wild places and preserving them. One of his thoughts more than 100 years ago: “Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity.” Also from Muir, along the same lines: “Keep close to nature’s heart…and break clear away once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods, wash your spirit clean.”
I couldn’t agree more. We are very fortunate and grateful for the time spent here after a particularly tiring and stressful week at home. Many thanks! Happy 4th of July - The Kings
